



The Healing Orchid Approach
Here at The Healing Orchid I combine Jin Shin Do Acupressure, Theta Healing and Reiki to facilitate the restoration of balance. Through my own path of healing I discovered that these modalities are extremely effective in addressing the physical and emotional body, the energy systems and the subconscious mind where we often hold beliefs and trauma that keep us bound by fear and stuck in negative patterns. This synergistic blend provides access to a new freedom on these different planes.
Jin Shin Do:
pressure point therapy that uses traditional Japanese and ancient Chinese acupuncture theory to release energy blockages thus restoring balance to the emotions and the physical body. Similar to shiatsu it accesses the energy meridians through acupoints however Jin Shin Do uses a system of holding points for 1 to 2 minutes at a time until the practitioner feels the block release and the energy begin to flow. This release is experienced as a sensation of pulsing and heat felt by the fingers coinciding with the client feeling a relaxation of the musculature in the surrounding area or an easing of pain from the point.
Theta Healing:
a transformative mode of healing that uses the theta brainwave state to access and reprogram the subconscious mind. Through this technique the practitioner can help the client clear subconscious blocks, change long held negative beliefs, release trauma and sometimes perform instant healings on the physical body. Physical ailments are most often a secondary manifestation of emotional ailments when not due to environmental toxicity.
Reiki:
translated it means “the Highest Energy” or “Universal Life Force Energy”. It is a simple yet profound system of energy healing through gentle touch. It aligns the body’s energy systems to expand and receive a higher frequency of energy than we already have allowing the body to tap into its own healing potential. Many report that with this energy expansion comes a greater intuitive ability and expanded consciousness. This method of deep relaxation increases feelings of well-being and can significantly aid in releasing stress.
